not so good at blogging...

but here it goes again. It has only been a month or so.

Nate is now almost 14 months old and says a few words. Guess what they are. Mom? Dad? No, he says What's that?, Duck, and Chipmunk. Yes Chipmunk. I guess as long as he is learning the important things in life I should not worry. You know I use duck and chipmunk on a daily basis.

To my dear son, I am ready for you to say mama anytime now!

Four large country style ribs sit in one small girl’s now swollen tummy.
Who knew such a sweet little girl could eat so much??

Aly

So I have not posted in a LONG time. Amberlynn celebrated her 14th birthday in August. Yes, really 14! We had a great time getting pampered at Article Salon where she got a new haircut, had a facial, and her make up done by Uncle Jeff. That night, we went to dinner with friends.

OK it really has been a while, she also went to Camp WAMP you can hear about it and check out pictures on her blog.

Happy 11th Birthday Kayla!

Where have the years gone? My babies are all growing up. Kayla turned 11 on Saturday and today is the first day of 6th grade. This is all too much for me in one week. This past year has been one of tremendous growth and maturity for Kayla. She is such an amazing girl that we are so proud of. I can't wait to see how she grows and what she does this year.

I love you Kayla!

Rockin with the Jonas Brothers

For early birthday presents, Amberlynn and Kayla were of 100 people at a private Jonas Brothers concert, held at the Hard Rock Cafe. Thank you Aunt Mary! They had a great time! Autographed pictures, posters, and magnets were some of the cool stuff that was given out by Radio Disney. After the concert they had to wait behind to go out back through the wheelchair access. When the Jonas Brothers saw the girls they actually got off their bus to take some pictures with them. How cool is that? Kevin, Joe, and Nick, you rock! The girls were so excited but star struck and speechless. This is one birthday they will never forget.

You can check out channel 13 raw footage here. You can actually see the girls there.

Wave Camp by Aly

I had so much fun at camp I don't even know where to begin. On the first day, I was so excited I could not wait for my mom to leave. I had an awesome roommate named Hope and we became bestfriends. On the first day we went swimming and played softball. That night I got pranked! They wrote gators all over my left arm while I was sleeping! I have no idea who did it, but it had have been someone from my group. The next morning when Scott, the camp director, saw he was mad because the mascot for Sac State is the Hornet!!!

Tuesday was lots of fun! I went waterskiing and that was the best!! Out of all the sports that was my favorite. I loved getting to go over the waves. It felt like I was going to tip over but I knew I wouldn't and Ryan was there, just in case. They have a ski team I am going to find out about.

My group went scuba diving on Tuesday but I had to wait until Wednesday becuase they did not have a mask small enough. Scuba diving was fun. I liked being underwater and I was able to move around all by myself!! When you are in the water, you are weightless that makes it possible for me to mover around. I would like to get certified as a diver.

We also went Kayaking on Wednesday. This was fun but not my favorite. I would rather be playing in the water.

Thursday was my favorite day of all! I got to choose what I wanted to do. Obviously I choose to go skiing again. This time I was not affraid since I had already tried it once. I was so happy to know I could do this type of stuff without getting hurt, I was about to cry.

In the evenings we sang kareoke, did skits, and had contests. Kareoke was fun because at the end they had a special song that they sing every year, Lean On Me. Scott says everytime we hear Lean On Me we are supposed to think about camp and the people here at camp are like family! On the last night, we got dressed up for a dance. After the dance we had an all-camper staff meeting to say goodbye. Everyone was crying, even me!

On the last night, I got to get revenge for all the pranks that happened to me!! At bedtime I waited for my friends to come to my room then we threw tin foil at their heads and squirted them with water. I had so much fun that I can't wait to go next year!!!!!!!!!!
